Sarab Al-Areen

The sun rises on the Arabian Peninsula tickling the water of the Gulf, upon which 36 islands are placed resembling shining pearls called The Kingdom of Bahrain.
Bahrain's population is around 800'000, 60% of which are Bahraini nationals and 40% expatriates while 55% of the population is under 30 years old. At almost a thousand people per kilometer, this kingdom enjoys the highest population density among the GCC countries. Household annual income exceeds $36'000, and disposable income rated at high 31%.
Well over 5'000'000 visitors in annum are expected to cross King Fahad causeway from the eastern Saudi province to Bahrain starting from 2007. With Qatar causeway scheduled for completion in 2010, additional 15% will arrive to Bahrain annually, while airport annual arrivals are expected to exceed 1'800'000 by 2015. Around 70% of these non-Bahraini visitors are nationals of neighboring oil rich Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

While devoted to become the financial hub of the Middle East by investing heavily in gigantic scale to attract financial institutions from around the globe, Bahrain is just as much committed to tourism industry development. The $3.1 billion and 50'000 employee Financial Harbor project, and the $1.2 billion invested in tourism, should provide further assurance that the 3.3% grouth rate in tourism will continue till 2014.
